USACE Vicksburg District announces Haggerty as new assistant in EEO Office

VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District has announced the appointment of Timothy O. Haggerty as the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Assistant. The EEO office leads, manages, and monitors the EEO programs; develops and implements affirmative employment plans; and manages the EEO discrimination complaint programs in an effective, efficient and responsive manner.
Prior to his selection, Haggerty served in the Waterways Security Department as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Security at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg.
Before beginning his work with the Corps of Engineers, he served 12 years in the United States Navy, working in a variety of dynamic environments across multiple areas of responsibility.
Haggerty graduated with honors from Capella University with a bachelor’s degree in business with a specialization in human resources. He is currently enrolled at Louisiana State University working toward the completion of his Master of Business degree with a concentration in human resource management.
Haggerty is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
The USACE Vicksburg District is engineering solutions to the nation’s toughest challenges. The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana that holds nine major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline Mississippi River levees. The Vicksburg District is engaged in hundreds of projects and employs approximately 1,100 personnel.
