Sally Green has joined the staff of Vicksburg Newsmedia LLC as a general reporter.

Vicksburg Newsmedia publishes The Vicksburg Post, VicksburgPost.com, Vicksburg Living magazine and various specialty print products. Boone Newsmedia, Inc. (BNI) owns and manages the company.

Green is a longtime resident of Vicksburg, who lived in Texas, Kansas, and Louisiana, before settling in Mississippi.
After earning degrees from Louisiana Tech University and the University of Mississippi, Green worked in insurance before choosing to stay home and raise her children.

She is married to Brian Green and has two adult children: son, Michael, a freshman at Mississippi State University, and daughter, Sydney, who lives and works in Louisiana.

Green said she is excited to join the staff at The Post and to cover the city she happily calls home.

“I am blessed to have a wonderful extended family in Vicksburg and I love my church family at Crawford Street United Methodist Church,” she said. “ And, I’m happy to be the newest addition to The Vicksburg Post.”
