The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced a temporary lane closure for Interstate 20 Tuesday in Vicksburg.

According to MDOT officials, the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LADOT) will temporarily employ a lane closure on I-20 westbound at the Mississippi River Bridge Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for ongoing repair work to the bridge.

A load restriction of 12 feet will be in place during the lane closure. Motorists should anticipate moderate congestion during peak travel times and are advised to slow down and stay alert for roadside crews, MDOT officials said.
