Mrs. R.B. Holloman was critically ill in Itta Bena. • The will of the late Leon Baer was filed for probate. • Pola Negri and Antonio Moreno were seen in “The Spanish Dancer” at the Walnut Theater.

Patrick J. Morrison, a former resident, died. • Reva Kline of Clarksdale and Herman Marcus were married. • Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Garrett left for Canto to visit relatives.

Lt. and Mrs. Julius Curran of Baton Rouge were visiting here. • Pvt. Reginald Kahn was here from Camp Blanding, Fla. visiting family. • Mr. and Mrs. William Ring announced the birth of a son, Charles Jr.

Services were held for H.R. Andress Sr. • David Hebron died. • Services were held for William Fussell, a Tallulah resident. • Mrs. A.L. Wright died.

Mrs. T.E. Peter hosted the Floral Garden Club. • Charles R. Gerardy retired from his job as the plant engineer at the Vicksburg Gulf Oil Company’s plant. • Montez Gore was conducting physical fitness classes for ladies in the Council 9 School Gym. • Mr. and Mrs. Gerald E. Malone announced the birth of their daughter, Jennifer.
