To celebrate National Doctors’ Day this year, Merit Health River Region is making charitable contributions to two local organizations in honor of its medical staff.

Earlier this month, the physicians decided to support Renewal House, a ministry drug rehab, as well as First Baptist Church of Vicksburg’s free dental/medical clinic.

Renewal House provides crucial support and resources to individuals recovering from substance abuse.

First Baptist Church’s free dental/medical clinic offers free dental and medical services to those in need.

Both organizations are beacons of hope for many in the Vicksburg community, Merit Health officials said.

The presentation took place in Merit Health River Region’s Atrium on Wednesday, March 27.
