Warren Central’s 20-run streak came to an end Saturday, but its winning streak and oustanding season continued.

Jenn Smith went 4-for-4 with a double, triple, four RBIs and three runs scored, and Warren Central shook off a rough start to beat Richland 16-6.

The Lady Vikes (16-4) scored in double figures for the fifth game in a row, although their streak of scoring 20 runs or more ended at a brief two games.

Richland scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning, but Warren Central got one back in the second and took the lead for good with seven runs in the third. The Lady Vikes scored in every inning except the fourth.

Richland committed four errors to help spur WC’s big rally in the third inning. Smith and Keke McKay also hit RBI doubles.

Smith, Sarah Cameron Fancher and Makayla Jackson scored three runs apiece for Warren Central, McKay was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Adalyn Anderson and Fancher each drove in one run.

Madison Pant pitched five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks. She had nine strikeouts.

Warren Central will play at Wesson on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and at Neshoba Central Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Harmony Harris hit for the cycle, with a single, double, triple and home run, to lead Vicksburg High past Riverside 12-9 in the Riverside Tournament Saturday in Hollandale.

Harris homered in the first inning, singled in the third, tripled in the fourth, and finished the cycle with a double in the fifth. She went 4-for-4 with seven RBIs and three runs scored.

Jamia Grace was 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored for Vicksburg. Avery Van Norman doubled twice, and was 3-for-4 with one RBI and four runs scored. Camden McGloster singled twice and drove in a run as well.

Vicksburg lost its first game in the tournament, 12-0 against Cleveland Central. The Missy Gators (5-16) did not have a hit and committed four errors.
