Award of Excellence students were recognized at Hinds Community College’s Student Awards of Distinction ceremony. These students hold a 3.5 grade point average or higher and have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership and service while enrolled at Hinds. Each campus is represented. High-achieving Hinds Community College students were recently recognized at the Student Awards of Distinction ceremony.
Astha Patel and Shan Patel, All-Mississippi Transfer Pathway Scholars, were recognized at the Hinds Community College’s Student Awards of Distinction ceremony.
Astha Patel, Shayne Dalen Thompson and Shan Samir Patel, all of Vicksburg, were recognized as Award of Excellence students. These students hold a 3.5 grade point average or higher and have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership and service while enrolled at Hinds.
Shayne Thompson of Vicksburg was honored with the SOAR Award, meaning that he is soaring toward excellence in all endeavors while at the Vicksburg-Warren Campus of Hinds Community College.
