Community leaders and citizens alike donned safety vests and armed them- selves with trash bags and grabber tools Friday morning to take part in Visit Vicksburg’s community cleanup event in recognition of Earth Day.

Breaking up into 13 groups and spreading across the city, the teams spent most of the morning in their respective grids cleaning up trash and debris as part of the beautification effort.
