Florida State defensive lineman Fabian Lovett, a Vicksburg native, signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs following last week’s NFL draft.

Lovett was born and raised in Vicksburg, but played high school football at Olive Branch in North Mississippi. He was a three-year starter at Florida State and totaled 74 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five sacks in his college career. He was a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference honorable mention selection.
