Lonnie Mae Kelly, a resident of Rolling Fork, passed away Tuesday, May 7, in Belzoni at the Humphreys County Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was 75.
Kelly was a homemaker and member of Guiding Star Baptist Church, where she had been the church secretary.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Andrews; her mother, Jessie Bell Peeler; her sisters, Lucille Hickman and Annie Bell Ousley.
She is survived by her seven sons, Ed Kelly III of Cary, Melvin Kelly of Portland, OR, Johnnie Kelly of Cary, Curtis Kelly of Cary, Otis Kelly of Cary, Cleatrice Armstrong of Portland, Ore. and Darnell Armstrong of Portland; her two brothers, Otis Ray of Anguilla, Joseph Luton of Rockford, Ill. and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, in the Guiding Star Baptist Church in Cary at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Darnell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Kelly will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral service.
