Sarah Campbell of Vicksburg may be a recent college graduate who is already accepted into graduate school, but that isn’t stopping her from spending the time in between programs in a meaningful way. In Campbell’s case, that means seeing the world.
Campbell is a recent graduate of Mississippi State University, where she worked as a teacher’s assistant in statistics during her senior year in Starkville.
In her senior year, she was inducted into Undergraduate Women in Business, Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Chi Honor Society.
Campbell graduated Magne Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in sociology on May 10.
After graduation, Campbell traveled with the Mississippi State University Study Abroad program to learn about psychology in Vienna, Salzburg, Austria, and Prague.
During the trip, she took a guided tour of the city of Vienna, the Federal Pathological Anatomical Museum, the Sigmund Freud Museum, Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens, the University of Vienna, the Viktor Frankl Institute Museum and the Prater Amusement Park. In Salzburg, she will go on the Salzburg Sound of Music Tour.
Campbell is still traveling and, while in Prague, she will attend the Walking Tour of the Old Town of Prague, the Prague Castle, and the Petrin Lookout Tower. On the final night, there will be a dinner cruise on the Vltava River.
Campbell has received four graduate acceptance letters to receive her master’s degree. She has accepted the Counseling Psychology Master’s Program at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Only 16 students were accepted into this program. Campbell will have a graduate position on campus with an internship in Hattiesburg.
Campbell is the daughter of Carl and Tonya Campbell of Vicksburg. She is a 2021 graduate of River City Early College.
