The Vicksburg Post has welcomed a summer intern who is no stranger to the River City.

Allie Hilderbrand, who grew up in Vicksburg and is currently a senior majoring in communications at Mississippi State University, began work at The Post this week.

Hilderbrand said she is excited to put her communication skills to work in her hometown.

“I’m incredibly excited to begin work at The Vicksburg Post,” she said. “I feel that this will be a great opportunity to advance my skills and take steps towards the future.”

Hilderbrand is a 2019 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy. She attended Hinds Community College before transferring to MSU, where she is slated to earn a bachelor’s degree later this year.

Hilderbrand is the daughter of Keith and Katherine Hilderbrand, the stepdaugher of Dorothy Hilderbrand, and partner of Shawn Eisenmann.
