The second session of the American Red Cross’ Learn to Swim program began Monday at City Pool. The lessons are helping keep Vicksburg residents taking part cool, while also improving swimming techniques, as temperatures continue to rise.
The program, which operates each summer at the pool, provides low-cost swim lessons for children and adults. There are six levels of lessons ranging from beginner to those seeking to become more advanced swimmers.
The current session will run weekday mornings and from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. through July 5. The third and final session of the summer will go from July 15-26.
