The annual Glenwood Circle 4th of July Bike Parade will be held Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Circle Park in downtown Vicksburg.

Ice Cream will be on hand following the parade. Area children are invited to decorate their bikes, strollers, scooters, wagons and other rides in a patriotic theme and come down for some fun around the circle.

Jay Hobson, whose family has been residents of Glenwood Circle for generations, said he looks forward to the parade each year.

“One of my favorite Glenwood Circle events is The Annual Glenwood Circle 4th of July Bike Parade,” Hobson said. “This neighborhood event is great because it brings out families from all over the neighborhood. The neighbors get to cheer on the children as the kids peddle around the circle on their bikes and ride on toys decked out in patriotic spirit to patriotic music and then get to enjoy ice cream. It doesn’t get much more American than that!”

The annual parade and festivities afterward, which include games, are organized by residents of the Glenwood Circle neighborhood.
