Funeral services for Deedra Elaine Sims were held Tuesday, July 2, in the Spring Hill Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the the Rev. Dr. James E. Warren officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Visitation was held Monday, July 1, from 5 until 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
Deedra Elaine Sims, a Vicksburg resident, passed away Monday, June 24, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 48.
She worked for the Corps of Engineers and was a Spring Hill M. B. Church member.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Williams.
She is survived by her father, Alfred Sims Sr., of Vicksburg; her sisters, Tabitha Sims Evans of Vicksburg, Jennifer Sims Bradford of Allen, Texas and Brittany Dotson of Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
