Authorities are searching for two men accused of murder who escaped from the Claiborne County Detention Center Friday morning and are considered armed and dangerous.

According to information from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), 24-year-old Tyrekennel Collins and 18-year-old Dezarrious Johnson are wanted for felony jail escape by the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD).

MBI officials said the public’s help is needed in apprehending both suspects and asked that anyone with any information about the whereabouts of either of the men contact CCSD at 601-437-5161 or simply dial 911.

Both men were being held on murder charges for crimes allegedly committed in other counties.

Authorities caution anyone coming into contact with either men to not approach them, and to instead notify authorities.
