Family members arrested for possession of burglary tools, drugs

Three family members were taken into custody by Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) officers following a report of suspicious behavior and each made an initial court appearance Monday.

According to VPD, officers were dispatched to the area of the Clay Street and Mission 66 intersection Thursday for reports suspicious activity.

Taken into custody were 43-year-old Christopher Acuff, 45-year-old Joseph Acuff and 40-year-old Mindy Acuff, all of Vicksburg.

Christopher and Mindy Acuff were each charged with possession of burglary tools and each received a bond of $2,500. Joseph Acuff was charged with possession of burglary tools and possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $27,500.

Vicksburg Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter bound all three suspects over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
