Charles J. Faulk III, 81, of Lake Village, Ark., died Monday, July 15, at his home.
He was born August 9, 1942, in Vicksburg to Charles J Faulk Jr. and Elizabeth Young Faulk. He attended Lakeside United Methodist Church and had a wide variety of interests.
His passion was cooking, but he enjoyed gardening, boating and dabbling in the stock market. He was a self-taught chef and past owner of LakeShore Café and The Cow Pen in Lake Village.
Before becoming involved in the food service industry, he worked for 25 years as a salesman for Office Supply Company before being promoted to president of Health Care Systems, a division of Missco Corporation in Jackson.
Charles attended Millsaps College in Jackson and in 1966 he graduated from Belhaven College in Jackson.
He had many friends and acquaintances who appreciated his sharp mind and his quick wit. His ability to close a sale was phenomenal due to his charming and engaging personality.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Young Faulk (Dianne).
Charles is survived by his wife of 35 years and most recently his caregiver, Teresa Faulk; daughter, Ashley Armagost; son, Charles J. Faulk IV (Lydia); three stepdaughters, Randi Bullock (Al, deceased); Rochelle Crager (Gene) and Robin Stanard (Jason); his sister, Jeneva Pickett (Bob) and his special friend and caregiver, Michael Findley (his daughter’s fiancé); 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services to be announced later and cremation arrangements entrusted to Bishop King Funeral Home.
