Former Port Gibson High School basketball and track coach Harold Liggans was inducted to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame on June 21.

Liggans won two girls basketball state championships with Port Gibson, in 1991 and 1992, and one track and field state title in 1987. His basketball coaching record was 341-161.

Liggans also worked on the staff of the WNBA’s Houston Comets during a 35-year career.
