Who’s Hot: Michael Fields

St. Aloysius track and field coach Michael Fields was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame on June 21.

Fields also coaches football at Raymond High School. In a 36-year coaching career at St. Al, Raymond, Hinds AHS and Utica High he has won 111 football games and seven track and field state championships.

Fields was also a state long jump champion during his high school athletic career at Utica High; an NCAA Division II All-American in football and track at Mississippi College; and a member of the Gulf South Conference’s All-Decade team for the 1980s.

Fields is currently the football head coach at Raymond High School in addition to his duties at St. Al. He has coached powerlifting and cross country during his career, as well.
