Vicksburg native Christopher Mixon finished third overall out of 80 runners in the Big Butts 50K trail run July 20 in Clinton. Mixon clocked a time of 4 hours, 45 minutes, 49 seconds for the 50-kilometer race on the Choctaw Trails course.

Mixon also finished 10th out of 124 runners at the Mt. Hood 50, a 50-mile race on Oregon’s Mt. Hood on July 14. The 36-year-old had a time of 7 hours, 48 minutes and 30 seconds for that race.
