St. Aloysius softball player Madison Spencer finished 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles, and three RBIs in an 11-0 victory over Manchester Academy on Thursday.

Through six games this season, Spencer is batting .500 (9-for-18) with three doubles, one triple, and six RBIs.

The Lady Flashes have won four out of six games to start the season. They’ll take this weekend off before jumping back into action with four more games next week. St. Al is on the road at Central Hinds on Monday and Simpson Academy on Tuesday; and then back home at the Betty Hearn Foley Softball Complex to play Jackson Prep on Aug. 8 and the Jackson Victors on Aug. 9.

At the game against Jackson Prep, former Kentucky pitcher Stephanie Schoonover will throw out the first pitch. Schoonover played one season at St. Al before moving to Alabama, where she became an All-State pitcher.
