The 18-year-old Warren County man killed Sunday night in a shooting in the 100 block of Abraham Drive has been identified by Coroner Doug Huskey as Korey O’Neill Sims, a recent graduate of St. Aloysius High School in Vicksburg.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said investigators are currently working on leads, but have not yet made an arrest in the case.

“Just after 9:30 last night, units were dispatched to the 100 block of Abraham Drive. Units arriving on the scene found four individuals that were suffering from gunshot wounds,” Pace said. “One of the individuals, an 18-year-old male with a Warren County address, was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Doug Huskey. The other three victims were transported by Vicksburg Fire Department ambulances to area hospitals. Our initial information last night was that none of the three were, although seriously injured, it’s not believed that they were life-threatening (injuries).”

Pace said evidence points to the shooting taking place in the yard of the residence, adding preliminary information indicates two of the victims were from the Fayette, Miss. area, while Sims and a third injured victim are from Warren County.

“We’re not a liberty at this time to release any other details,” Pace said. “It would only be speculation as to what led up to this at this time.”

This is a developing story. More information will be released as it becomes available.
