Edmund E. McMaster was born in Yazoo County December 4, 1932, and passed away Sunday, August 4, in Vicksburg.
Edmund was a devoted husband to Jo McMaster for 65 years, and a cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Edmund traveled extensively, with notable service during the Korean War and multiple duty stations.
After leaving the military, he worked as a machinist at Waterways Experiment Station until his retirement.  He was a member of Bovina Baptist Church.
Edmund will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his service to his country. His presence and wit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He loved to hunt and fish.
Later in life, he enjoyed watching the hummingbirds from his recliner.  Sometimes there would be as many as 40 birds around the feeder.
He would watch the squirrels chasing each other around the big oak tree in the front yard.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jo McMaster; parents, Robert and Dessie McMaster; brothers, Bobby McMaster and Douglas McMaster; and a grandchild, Matthew Moody.
Edmund is survived by his children, Kenny McMaster (Deanie) and Sherry Moody (Paul); grandchildren, Christy Wilson (Charles), Cindi McMaster, Meredith Moody and Elizabeth Moody; two great-grandchildren, Alexa Wilson and Cade Wilson; his brother, Wayne McMaster (Mary Nell); and sister, Evelyn Melton. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 7, with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m., followed by services in the chapel.
Interment will be at Greenlawn Gardens immediately following.
Pallbearers will be Cade Wilson, Charles Wilson, Arvil Monday, Kaden Taylor and Logan Moore.
