Former University of Kentucky pitcher Stephanie Schoonover will throw out the first pitch at St. Aloysius’ softball game Monday vs. Tensas Academy, at 5:30 p.m. at the Betty Foley Hearn Softball Complex.

Schoonover played one season at St. Al before moving to Alabama, where she became an all-state high school pitcher who then played at Kentucky.

In four seasons at Kentucky, Schoonover had a 38-18 record, with a 3.07 ERA and 406 strikeouts. She pitched two no-hitters in 2022.
