“Our serving and offense were clicking tonight,” Warren Central coach Matthew Gullett said.

Warren Central (10-7-1, 2-0 MHSAA Region 2-6) remained undefeated in region play and will go across town to face Vicksburg Thursday at 6:15 p.m.

The Lady Vikes won four of five matches at a tournament at Pearl High School last weekend, and have now won seven of their last eight matches overall.

Neshoba Central 3, Vicksburg 0

Presley Carr played all three matches. She served 43 times and put 80 percent of them in play.

“It was good to play against a team that’s our level. Even though the outcome wasn’t what we wanted for varsity, we left feeling pretty good,” St. Al coach Allison McSherry said. “We had an opportunity but just fell short.”

St. Al will host Warren Central on Sept. 3, with the junior varsity playing at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 6.
