Mallory Spencer had a hot bat and arm that helped St. Aloysius’ softball team break out of its frigid cold slump.

Spencer struck out five batters in four innings in the pitcher’s circle, and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs at the plate to lead the Lady Flashes to a 13-1 rout of Jackson Academy on Tuesday.

St. Al (7-8) snapped a five-game losing streak in which it scored a total of 12 runs.
