Marilyn Randall Geary

Marilyn Randall Geary, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 5. Born on October 19, 1936, in Bossier City, La., to EH Randall and Evelyn Duke Randall, Marilyn was a cherished member of the Vicksburg community for many years.

Marilyn was a graduate of Carr Central High School, Class of 1954. She retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was a member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and traveling with her late husband, Robert “Bob” Geary, who predeceased her in 2017.

Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Stacy Douglas; and her brothers, EH Randall Jr. “Sonny” and Larry Randall (Pat).

She is survived by her sons, Arnot Geary (Jane) of Tullahoma, Tenn. and Quin Geary of Vicksburg; her daughters, Karen Douglas Rials and Amy Douglas Mooney (Kevin), both of Vicksburg; as well as her grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life, Laura Geary Steward, Grant Geary, Angela Hogan Lick, Olivia Hogan Ismail, Jesse Moore, and Randall Allen. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Marilyn’s life will be held at Crawford Street United Methodist Church in Vicksburg Wednesday, September 18, at 1 pm. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived.
