Fundraisers to help generate money for final expenses and other needs following the deaths of two young people Sunday in a car accident in Madison Parish are now available online through gofundme.

The Louisiana State Police (LSP) said a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 80 east of Louisiana Highway 601-2 Sunday morning killed 20-year-old Kayden Acuff, of Tallulah, and 21-year-old Jamicha Lovings-Smith of Vicksburg.

The LSP said the preliminary investigation revealed that Acuff was driving west on U.S. 80 in a 2015 Nissan Altima. For reasons still under investigation, the Nissan ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Both Smith and Acuff were pronounced dead on the scene.
