Hurricane Francine made landfall on the Louisiana coast Wednesday as a category 2 storm, but has since been downgraded to a tropical depression, its status as it moves through central Mississippi.
As of 9 a.m., the storm had caused only a minimal amount of problems for Warren County residents, with several reports of trees down and Entergy Mississippi’s outage map showing fewer than 100 power outages in the area.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Warren County remains under a limited threat of wind gusts between 30-50 mph through 4 p.m. Thursday. Warren County is also under a limited threat of flash flooding, with the possibility of between two and four inches of rainfall in a short amount of time until 1 p.m.
This is a developing story and will be updated throughout the day.
