Funeral services for Willie Mingo Cooper are to be held on Friday, September 20 in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Michael Reed officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Willie M. Cooper, a Vicksburg resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 11 in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Beatrice Judge Cooper; his wife, Elsie Cooper; his son, Michael Dean Cooper; and three sisters, Alma C. Berry, Jane C Skinner, and Iris Katie Mae Cooper.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracie Cooper Young of Vicksburg; his brothers, Cornelius Lee Cooper of Forestville, MD and George Clifton Cooper of Clinton, MS; two grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
