Vicksburg man arrested for possession of drugs, stolen gun

A Vicksburg man saw his bond set at $350,000 by Municipal Judge Angela Carpenter Friday after being arrested for possession of drugs and a firearm.

Charley Lee Brown Jr., 29, appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Friday after officers responding to a call for service arrested him at a local hotel Thursday. 

According to information from the Vicksburg Police Department (VPD), Brown was found to be in possession of various illegal substances, including marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. He was also found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, VPD said.

Brown was charged with possession of marijuana; possession of cocaine; possession of methamphetamine; four counts of possession of a controlled substance; and possession of a stolen firearm. 

Brown was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
