1 killed in Saturday shooting in Tallulah

A Tallulah man is dead and the Louisiana State Police (LSP) have joined the investigation after a shooting that took place Saturday on Florida Street.

LSP/CID/Detectives-Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO) were requested by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) to investigate the homicide, which occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Florida Street and resulted in the death of 20-year-old Clayton Crye Jr. of Tallulah.

LSP MFO will serve as the lead investigating agency, with MPSO assisting. LSP said the investigation remains active and ongoing; however, no further information is available at this time.

LSP said anyone with information and/or pictures and video is urged to share that information with LSP detectives. The LSP online reporting system is available to the public through an anonymous and secure reporting form that is submitted to the appropriate investigators, officials said.
