Hall’s 60- and 7-yard TDs helped the Bulldogs take a 20-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. His 70-yarder was part of a 21-point third quarter barrage that pushed it to 41-7.

Keenan Franks rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown for Pearl River (3-2, 2-1).

“It felt good,” Chapman said. “Everything was opening up. I could tell after the first run when Trey broke the first one. I got in and broke my first one. I could tell it was going to be a good game.”

East Central 42, Hinds 13
Landon Sims threw three touchdown passes and added 51 rushing yards to lead East Central Community College (3-2, 1-1 MACCC South) to an easy win over Hinds (0-5, 0-2).

Chase Richardson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as No. 11 Holmes Community College (5-0) remained undefeated with a big Top 20 victory over Jones College (3-2).

Richardson was only 8-of-20 passing for 29 yards, but he threw a 10-yard TD pass to Malcolm Boykin midway through the first quarter and a 29-yard TD to K.J. Miller in the second to help Holmes take a 28-17 lead at halftime.

Holmes won despite having only 190 yards of total offense and possessing the ball for 17 minutes and 35 seconds to Jones’ 42:25. Jones committed five turnovers.

Jones quarterback Blake Murphy was 29-of-56 passing for 369 yards and one touchdown, but threw three interceptions. Two of the picks gave Holmes the ball inside the 5-yard line, and two other turnovers set up the Bulldogs inside the 30. All four led to short touchdown drives.

Mississippi Delta led 17-14 after Conner Whitson threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Davion Alston with 10:17 remaining in the fourth quarter.
