Multiple residents of Speed Street in Vicksburg reported as many as a dozen gunshots fired in the 1100 block of the neighborhood Sunday night. Less than hour later, more shots were reported nearby in Marcus Bottom.

Just before 10 p.m., multiple Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) units were on the scene investigating the reports on Speed Street; however, VPD officials have not yet released information regarding possible suspects or the circumstances that led to the gunfire.

Units were also on the scene in Marcus Bottom, but VPD has not yet confirmed the two incidents are related.

No injuries have been reported at either location. This is a developing story and more information will be released as it becomes available.
