The 42nd annual Fall Flea Market will be held around the Old Courthouse Museum Saturday.
According to Jordan Rushing, director and curator of the museum, vendors will be coming from all over the nation to set up shop at the market. Rushing said 165 vendors are currently slated to be on hand.
“Lots of arts and crafts, wonderful food, the local churches and other organizations will be fundraising as well,” Rushing said. “It’ll be a great variety. Just a good day.”
Students from the Debra Franco School of Dance will be performing at the event beginning at 10 a.m. Although past events have also included music, Rushing said no acts are scheduled to perform at the 2024 flea market.
“People like having a chance to come downtown, even if they don’t purchase anything,” Rushing said. “Just walking the streets and community and having a bit of fellowship among the community is great.”
The flea market will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. around the block surrounding the Old Courthouse Museum, which is located at 1008 Cherry Street.
