A weekly recap of performances by college and pro football players from Vicksburg-area high schools:
• West Alabama defensive back Lamar Gray (Warren Central) had five total tackles, and one-half tackle for loss, in a 21-6 loss to Delta State.
• Southern University kicker Joshua Griffin (Warren Central) kicked a 39-yard field goal and was 3-for-3 on PATs in a 24-14 victory over Alcorn State. Griffin also had one touchback on five kickoffs.
• Nicholls defensive back Laurence Sullivan Jr. (Vicksburg High) had one solo tackle and one pass break-up as the Colonels shut out Northwestern State 20-0.
• South Alabama offensive lineman Reed Buys (Warren Central) played at guard in the Jaguars’ 25-9 victory against Troy.
• Bluefield University offensive lineman Jehari Riley (Vicksburg High) started at right tackle and helped the Rams to a 20-19 victory over Kentucky Christian.
• Hinds Community College defensive back Kearris Gilliam (Vicksburg High) had four solo tackles and one pass break-up in a 34-20 loss to Southwest Mississippi.
• Hinds offensive lineman Jerald Woods (Warren Central) started at tackle in the loss to Southwest Mississippi.
• Hinds defensive back Koury Vample (Vicksburg High) had two solo tackles against Southwest Mississippi.
• Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College running back Trey Hall (Warren Central) rushed 21 times for 56 yards, and caught two passes for 37 yards and one touchdown, in a 27-20 win over Copiah-Lincoln.
• Gulf Coast wide receiver Tyler Henderson (Vicksburg High) caught three passes for 41 yards in the win over Co-Lin.
• Co-Lin linebacker Rakeem Davis (Port Gibson) assisted on three tackles in the loss to Gulf Coast.
• East Mississippi Community College offensive lineman Shar’dez Taylor (Vicksburg High) started at tackle in a 32-28 loss to Pearl River.
• East Central Community College defensive lineman Demarcus Jones (Warren Central) had two total tackles, including one-half sack and 1.5 tackles for loss, in a 27-7 win over Jones College.
• Northwest Mississippi quarterback Jack Wright (Warren Central) saw playing time on special teams and late in the game in a 31-3 blowout of Mississippi Delta.
• Coahoma Community College linebacker Logan Myles (Warren Central) had two total tackles and one-half tackle for loss in a 21-13 loss to Northeast Mississippi.
• New England Patriots offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started his second consecutive game at center in a 32-16 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
