Ailing AOI principal helped by Warren Central softball game

Academy of Innovation principal Melissa Rouse was the beneficiary of the Warren Central Spooktacular Softball Game held on Oct. 17. Rouse, center, recently had surgery to treat a brain tumor. The softball game raised $500 to help with her expenses.

The annual Spooktacular Softball Game features Warren Central’s baseball and softball teams playing a slow-pitch game while wearing Halloween costumes. Proceeds from the game go to either a charity or someone in the community who is dealing with an illness.
