Pilot Edgar R. Wooten, his son Bennie, and Willie Gladwell, all of Redbone Road, were injured when their plane crashed into the yard of the Frank Dayton home on Belva Drive minutes after children left the house, which served as a daycare.

Former 9th Circuit Court Judge Benjamin A. Guider died at the age of 83. • The Mississippi High School Athletic Association determined that Brian Darden was eligible to play football for Warren Central High School.
