BOMA recognizes employees for years of service

The Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen during Friday’s regular meeting honored city employees for their years of service across various city departments.

Mayor George Flaggs Jr. presented certificates of appreciation to Rachel Parrish, for one year of service with the community development department, and Eugene Henyard, for two years of service with the recreation department.

Also recognized, but not present Friday, were James Jefferson, one year of service with the Vicksburg Police Department; Jacqueline Barnes, two years of service with the Vicksburg Police Department; Gordon Griffin, eight years of service with the Vicksburg Police Department; Russell Hollowell, nine years of service with the gas department; Tangela Qualls, nine years of service with the building maintenance department; Katrina Terrell, 15 years of service with the administration department; and Dewayne Powers, 15 years of service with the Vicksburg Police Department.
