Hinds Community College defensive back Kearris Gilliam, a Vicksburg High alum, had a season-high six tackles, one pass break-up and one interception in a 34-27 overtime win against Pearl River Community College on Thursday.

For the season, the sophomore  has 21 tackles and two interceptions.

Hinds (2-6, 2-4 MACCC South) will finish its season on Halloween night — Thursday, Oct. 31 — on the road in Perkinston against Mississippi Gulf Coast. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Gulf Coast’s roster includes Gilliam’s high school teammate Tyler Henderson, and Warren Central alums Trey Hall and Zack Evans.
