Mississippi Mud Monsters announce 2025 baseball schedule

PEARL — Mississippi’s newest professional baseball team unveiled its inaugural schedule on Monday.
The Mississippi Mud Monsters, an independent Frontier League team, will open their season on May 8, 2025 at Trustmark Park against the Florence Y’alls.
The Mud Monsters will play nine homestands totaling 48 games at Trustmark Park in Pearl. The Frontier League season in 96 games in all, and goes from early May to the end of August.
Mississippi’s first homestand will run from May 8-14 and include three three-game series against Florence, the Gateway Grizzlies, and the Evansville Otters.
“We are beyond excited to announce our 2025 season schedule,” said David Kerr, Assistant General Manager of the Mississippi Mud Monsters. “We are looking forward to making a splash as we continue building an organization that fans, partners, and the Central Mississippi community can embrace and enjoy.”
The Mud Monsters will move into Trustmark Park in 2025 as the stadium’s former tenant, the Mississippi Braves, move to Columbus, Georgia.
The Frontier League is an 18-team independent league spread across the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada. The Mud Monsters will play in the West Divsion with the Gateway Grizzlies, Joliet Slammers, Schaumberg Boomers and Windy City Thunderbolts.
Other than the Mississippi franchise, all of the West Division teams are based in Illinois. Gateway is from the St. Louis area, and the others from the Chicago area.
