Delois Jean Jacks Inmon

Mrs. Delois Jean Jacks Inmon, from Vicksburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas following a brief illness. She was 72.

Mrs. Inmon was a nutritional aide and substitute teacher in the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a member of the Bethel Church of God in Christ, in Edwards, where she was an active member of the Missionary Board and served as Mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Lloyd Inmon; daughter, DeLisa Inmon; her parents, Arthur Rupert and Delorise Peoples Jacks; and brother, Leo Jacks.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Lamont Inmon, of White Hall, Arkansas; her granddaughter, Sandra Inmon; and two great grandchildren; her brothers, Theo Jacks of, Pine Bluff, Herbert Jacks, of Suisun City, California, Nathaniel Jacks, of Chicago, Arthur Jacks, of Flint, Michigan, and Herman Jacks, of Florida; her sisters, Rosetta Owens, of Madison, Illinois, Bernice Wilson, of Palestine, Arkansas, Emma Jacks Allen, of Pine Bluff, Carolyn Dulaney, of Germantown, Tennessee, and Octie Jacks, of Maumelle, Arkansas. She’s also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Funeral services are to be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at the St. Luke Church of God in Christ at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Washington Cruthirds officiating.

Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
