The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation (SCHF) presented the penultimate performance of Classics in the Courtyard’s fall lineup Friday with a show moved indoors to escape the rainy weather.
Performing for Friday’s edition of the popular series – now in its 17th season – was the band Alter Ego. Those in attendance were also treated to lunch from The Tomato Place.
This year’s fall series kicked off Oct. 18, with music performed by Lee H. Abraham & The Brotherhood Band and lunch served by Goldie’s Express. The Oct. 25 show included music performed by Howl & The Big Bad Wolves and lunch from Tommy’s BBQ.
The fall series will wrap up Friday, Nov. 8, with music from Blackwater Trio and lunch from Billy’s Italian Restaurant.
The Classics in the Courtyard program is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, as well as by SCHF individual and corporate members, the City of Vicksburg, and various appropriations.
