Nick Anderson added yet another accolade to the growing list he’s gotten during his rookie season in the Canadian Football League.

The Vicksburg native and Edmonton Elks linebacker was named to the 2024 All-CFL team that was announced by the league on Thursday.

A total of 27 players — 12 each on offense and defense, and three on special teams — were selected. Anderson was one of two linebackers picked on the defensive side.

Anderson started every game this season and led the CFL in total tackles, with 116, and defensive tackles with 111. The Vicksburg High and Tulane alum also had three sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles.

Anderson and Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Shemar Bridges are the two finalists for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie Award. The winner will be announced Nov. 14 in Vancouver, during the CFL’s awards ceremony leading to the Grey Cup championship game on Nov. 17.
