The Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) on Wednesday made two arrests following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of drugs and firearms.
“Shortly after 3 p.m., officers of the Vicksburg Police Department made a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 61 South and Iowa Boulevard,” VPD said in a statement. “A search of the vehicle revealed a number of firearms and illegal narcotics. The two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody at the scene and will be held without bond until their initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court.”
VPD has withheld the names of the suspects pending their initial appearances in court.
