Gleese’s double-double propels Flashes to rout of Riverfield

Carson Gleese had a double-double, and St. Aloysius’ boys basketball team doubled up Riverfield.

Gleese finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Flashes to a 66-33 road win Monday night. It was Gleese’s fifth 20-point game this season.

Anthony McCloud added 15 points and seven rebounds. Carter Henderson had seven points and five rebounds, while Walt Andrews had six points and five rebounds.

Carson Henderson scored five points and Mac Connell had four as 10 different players scored for St. Al (6-2).

The Flashes will be back in action Tuesday night, on the road again at Tri-County. The girls-boys varsity doubleheader begins at 6 p.m. and the junior high games at 4.

In Monday’s junior high boys game, Riverfield beat St. Al 48-22. Evan Mallard had eight points and nine rebounds for St. Al and Dru Gleese scored six points.

Taryn Lusby scored 11 points, but the St. Aloysius Lady Flashes (3-4) took their third loss in a row against Riverfield.

Megan Theriot had nine points and eight rebounds for St. Al, and Farrell Roberson scored six points. Roberson and

Mallory Hobson had five rebounds each, and Olivia Larsen grabbed six.
