Voting is open in The Vicksburg Post’s Athlete of the Week contest.
This week’s nominees are basketball players Camara Evans (Warren Central) and Jadarius Henderson (Vicksburg); St. Aloysius football player Thompson Fortenberry; and Porter’s Chapel Academy football/soccer player Conley Johnston.
Voting is open until midnight Tuesday, and you can vote as many times as you want until the deadline.

Camara Evans, a sophomore with Warren Central’s girls basketball team, scored 11 of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter in a 34-30 win vs. Pearl on Dec. 5. The Lady Vikes snapped a 35-game losing streak with the victory.
Conley Johnston, a senior at Porter’s Chapel Academy, was named the Defensive MVP for the White team in the MAIS Class 1A/2A football all-star game on Dec. 5 after totaling 14 tackles, two sacks and two tackles for loss. On Dec. 6, he made 12 saves while playing keeper in PCA’s soccer season opener vs. Manchester.
Thompson Fortenberry, a senior with St. Aloysius’ football team, had eight tackles and one fumble recovery in the MAIS Class 3A/4A All-Star Game on Dec. 6.
Jadarius Henderson, a junior with Vicksburg High’s boys basketball team, averaged 11.7 points in three games last week. He had 11 points in a 73-33 win over South Delta on Dec. 6, and 16 in a 61-52 victory vs. Port Gibson on Dec. 7.
