Lady Flashes beat Greenville-St. Joe at Catholic Schools Tournament

The St. Aloysius Lady Flashes got back to work, and back to winning on Friday.

Megan Theriot just missed a triple-double with nine points, 11 rebounds and nine steals as St. Al beat Greenville-St. Joe 40-21 in the Catholic Schools basketball tournament in Greenville.

Olivia Larsen added 10 points and four steals for the Lady Flashes (7-7), who played their first game since Dec. 13.

Farrell Roberson also had 10 points, to go along with four rebounds, and Elle Larsen scored four points.

Boys
Greenville-St. Joe 53, St. Aloysius 52
St. Aloysius’ boys’ basketball team took a one-point loss to Greenville-St. Joe in the Catholic Schools Tournament on Friday.

Carson Gleese had a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for St. Al (9-5), while Anthony McCloud finished with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Carson Henderson also contributed eight points and Carter Henderson scored six.

St. Al will play back-to-back home games Monday and Tuesday against Lamar School and the Jackson Victors, respectively. The game against Lamar is girls-boys doubleheader with varsity beginning at 6 p.m. The game vs. the Victors is boys only, with junior high games starting at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7:30.
