When it comes to the Mississippi Lottery, Suds N Smokes is paying the folks.
Two winning tickets — one of them worth more than $110,000 — were sold recently at the convenience store chain in Vicksburg.
A Vicksburg man won $110,920 on a Match 5 ticket for the Dec. 31 drawing, and a woman turned a $1 ticket into a $5,000 jackpot in the Cash 4 game, the Mississippi Lottery announced.
The Mississippi Lottery does not identify winners by name.
In the Match 5 game, players select five numbers from 1 to 35. Prizes are awarded for as few as two correct numbers, and the jackpot goes to players who match all five — which the Vicksburg winner did.
The winning combination for the Dec. 31 drawing was 7-10-12-21-29. The winner also purchased the multiplier bonus option, which tripled his prize. He was the only person in the Dec. 31 drawing to match all five numbers.
The Cash 4 winner bought her winning ticket at Suds N Smokes for the Jan. 6 drawing and matched all four numbers to claim the $5,000 top prize.
The winning four-number combination of 0-2-1-3 was played as an exact match, which led to the jackpot. The Cash 4 game allows players to pick four numbers in any order or an exact order, with an exact match paying the maximum $5,000 prize.
The cost of a ticket is $1.
The Vicksburg winner was one of only two players to match all four numbers for the Jan. 6 drawing.
